Vault Setup — Obsidian Configurator
One-question vault setup. Free-text answer in, personalized folder structure plus CLAUDE.md plus slash commands out.
What it does
Interactive configurator for a new Obsidian vault. Asks one open question about role, pain point, scope, and existing files, then infers the right folder set (people, clients, research, content, etc.), generates a starter `CLAUDE.md` with the right rules, and scaffolds the three core slash commands (`/daily`, `/tldr`, one role-specific). Never asks clarifying questions after the first answer. Smart inference, not a wizard.
Use it inside an empty folder that should become a vault. Also use it to spin up a new vault for a client or to test a different structure without contaminating the main vault. Not for modifying an existing vault. That's what `maintain` is for.
Outputs a ready-to-use vault: folders created, `CLAUDE.md` written, slash commands scaffolded, Obsidian opened on the new location. Pairs with `obsidian-markdown` (the note format), `obsidian-cli` (scripted operations on the new vault), and `maintain` (the ongoing hygiene pass).
