/site-architecture
Site Architecture
Plan the pages a site needs and how they connect before anyone designs a single screen.
Used by 1 agent
What it does
Information architecture for SaaS, content, e-commerce, documentation, and hybrid sites. Covers page hierarchy (the 3-click rule, flat vs deep tradeoffs), navigation design, URL pattern conventions per site type, internal linking strategy, and the redirect map when restructuring an existing site.
Use it before a site rebuild, when a new section (docs, resources, templates) needs to slot into the existing structure, when nav has 20+ items and users can't find anything, or when SEO is crippled by orphaned pages and broken hierarchy. Also use it to audit an inherited site and figure out why it doesn't work.
Outputs a sitemap (visual or structured), URL pattern conventions, navigation spec, internal linking rules, and a redirect plan for existing URLs. Pairs with `seo-audit` (technical health of the resulting structure), `programmatic-seo` (how scale-pages slot in), and `content-strategy` (the content that fills the architecture).
